As a noted champion for cultivating a culture of excellence in the state of South Dakota, Jolly Lane joins the ranks of the state’s most iconic businesses and figures in the South Dakota Hall of Fame, which is based in Chamberlain, SD.
For five decades, Jolly Lane Greenhouse has served the Black Hills as the foremost provider of beautiful gardening, landscaping, and greenhouse supplies. Known for its quality products and undeniably gracious founders, the Sime family, Jolly Lane has unsurprisingly earned the distinction of being regarded as Rapid City’s most-beloved full-service garden center.
Founded by Norma and Dean Sime in 1970, Jolly Lane presently serves the community with its ever-growing retail garden center in Rapid Valley and production facility in Box Elder.
Jolly Lane co-owner Tim Sime is grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate such a meaningful accomplishment in the Greenhouse’s 50th year alongside his family, friends, and the Rapid City community.
“We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for the hard work of my parents, siblings, our team and the unrelenting support of Rapid City and the surrounding communities over the last 50 years,” said Sime.
“While we expect no shortage of excitement on the road ahead of us, receiving this gracious distinction from the South Dakota Hall of Fame reminds us of how impactful our work can be on the lives of others and our fantastic state.
