Jolly Lane Greenhouse is here to help you, check out these hot new trends for 2022!

Pollinator Friendly

As a whole, we are in an environmentally friendly wave which hopefully will stick as a trend! Having pollinator friendly flowers is essential to the health of your garden to attract all the sweet pollinator friends, such as bees and butterflies. Without pollination plants cannot produce seeds or fruits, which wouldn’t make for a thriving garden. Some pollinator friendly plants are - Calendula, marigold, salvia, nasturtium, lavender, and cosmos, just to name a few! These are all bright and beautiful to look at!

Garden Lawn

A lush green lawn is beautiful, but if that’s not really your thing a garden lawn might be! You can make your old lawn whatever you want it to be. Growing flowers? Perfect! Want to start your own fresh produce? Great! Utilizing your lawn as a garden space gives you more room to make all your gardening dreams come to life! Some ideas to turn your lawn into your fruitful garden is to use a sheet mulch technique or raised garden beds!

Grow Your Own Movement

Is there anything more rewarding then eating something that you grew in your own garden? We don’t think so! Becoming the slightest bit self-sustainable is all the rage! Knowing where your food is coming from and how it was grown is important, growing your own is a way you can ensure you are consuming the best possible produce. Some beginner friendly growing options are summer squash, peppers, strawberries, radishes, lettuce, and tomatoes! Choose a few of your favorites and start growing! Another trending topic that correlates is medicinal herb gardening. Growing your own lavender, oregano, sage, etc. All to heal from the inside out!

Bird Baths

The bird bath has made a comeback! Watching wildlife enjoy your garden as much as you do is a beautiful thing (as long as they aren’t eating it!) Bird baths are a low maintenance feature that can naturally refill with rainwater. A classic stone bird bath is sure to bring an element of relaxation to any garden.
